A note from Molly

Looking for
Custom Fronts?

If you've arrived here through the original Custom Fronts website, a recommendation, social media or a previous project, welcome. I'd love to share a little about my journey and where it's taken me.

My design journey

A little about my story

My name is Molly, and I spent several years working as a designer at the original Custom Fronts, helping homeowners create beautiful, practical and considered kitchens using sustainable materials.

Although the original Custom Fronts business is no longer trading, my journey in design has continued.

During my time there, I discovered just how personal a home project can be. A kitchen is so much more than cabinetry. It's where everyday routines unfold, families come together, and so much of life happens.

“The more I worked with homes, the more interested I became in how our spaces make us feel.”

Over time, my interests grew beyond how a kitchen looks and functions, towards how our homes influence wellbeing, sensory experiences, everyday routines and the way we live.

That journey led me to establish KindRoot Home, bringing together my experience in design with a more considered approach to creating spaces around the people living in them.

Alongside that, I've also wanted to preserve the simplicity of beautiful, made-to-order IKEA kitchen fronts.

Today, there are two different ways to bring these ideas into your home.

A shared approach

Different businesses.
Shared values.

KindRoot Home and Custom Fronts by KindFront are separate businesses, each offering a different approach to creating a beautiful home.

KindRoot Home focuses on bespoke cabinetry, furniture and design-led projects, while Custom Fronts by KindRoot specialises in online, made-to-order fronts for IKEA METOD kitchens.

Both reflect the values that have shaped my work over the years: thoughtful materials, considered design, sustainability and creating spaces that feel right for the people living in them.

Whichever direction your project takes, I hope you find something that feels like home.
